Group Courses – Join a Chrysalis Circle

Chrysalis run fun courses for small groups which meet regularly to ‘air and share’ parental matters. These meetings have a structured informality about them – in other words, people can relax and learn, chat and interact with other parents who may be living through the same experiences as you. Karen is on hand to guide and consult as the need arises.

An example of one such course is the ‘Spelthorne Parent & Toddler Early Start Group’. This next piece is taken from our information release:

‘Chrysalis in partnership with the Family Emergent Literacy Programme provide a fun and informal session where toddlers experience music, stories, shapes, colours and numbers to stimulate and gently ease them into reading and writing. Perfect preparation for when they eventually start school, great fun, and a great opportunity to meet and make new friends.’

Family Days

Family Days or even longer Fun Family Weekends, give everyone a chance to get together after the working week. They devote precious time for families to ‘re-connect’, with Chrysalis there to guide and play a supporting role.

Father’s Workshops

Dad’s can feel isolated and out of touch. The aim of the Father’s Workshops is to bring Dads closer and feel more fulfilled in their parental role. This can be part of a group or on an individual coaching basis.

Talking over the Dad stuff really helped me gain perspective and I enjoyed meeting others in the same boat – when is the next course?

Grand-Parent & Guardian Refresher Courses

Family situations can change overnight. There may be instances when you unexpectedly take responsibility for a child or children. Chrysalis can assist you in coping with these new challenges.

Chrysalis helps me see things more clearly. I feel more focussed and positive about my parenting. I really look forward to the group sessions. Thank You!
